Elly van Riet

Project Coordinator (AIGHD)

Elly is a researcher and the principal investigator of the INDIGO project at AIGHD. She uses her 15 years of experience in several aspects of vaccine research to move the development of safe, effective, and affordable vaccines forward. She has earned her MSc as an engineer in biotechnology, followed by a Ph.D. in immunology. She worked on the development of influenza vaccines at NIID (Tokyo, Japan), and thereafter as Department Head, Program manager and VP R&D at the Institute for Translational Vaccinology (Intravacc, Bilthoven, the Netherlands) before joining AIGHD.
